Who is Protein for Peace

People from eight nations launched a groundbreaking grassroots “Protein for Peace” program in January 2024 to fight malnutrition and reduce livestock emissions through use of higher protein seed and natural livestock feed. Protein for Peace is based on independent university and commercial scientists discovering that farm revenue goes up and livestock emissions drop when natural feed is used instead of synthetic substitutes.

Protein for Peace combines agronomy, livestock, and sustainability sciences to reverse nearly 20 years of declining soybean protein, and divert protein from biofuel plant coproducts to fight malnutrition. Protein for Peace also helps farmers who have lost billions in feed sales to higher-emissions DDGS and synthetic amino acids. Field science can power new teamwork across barnyards, boardrooms, and borders by getting help where it’s needed most.
